TOWN OF BLAINE
January 9, 2018
Chairman, Vern Drake called the January 9, 2018 monthly board meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Present were Chairman Vern Drake, Supervisor Jessica Estridge, Supervisor Dan Ellefson, Clerk Charla Zaccardi, Treasurer Larry Holter, Ron Gallagher, Ron Proffit, Dawn Snow, Matt Holter, Lindsey Ellis and Bonnie Young.
Clerk’s Report: Jessica made the motion to approve the minutes. Dan seconded. Motion approved.
Treasurer’s Report was provided by Larry Holter.
Expenses: Expenses were reviewed. Dan made the motion to approve payment of the bills as submitted. Jessica seconded. Motion approved.
Citizen’s Input: A Wisconsin 2% Fire Dues Self-Certification will be done on line by the town clerk before the Dairyland Fire Department’s audit in March. Jessica will contact the Burnett County emergency dispatcher and the Dairyland first responders will be identified as to whom to call in an emergency in Blaine. Matt discussed Big Hill Road and it was indicated that the County is taking care of this issue. Dawn mentioned that fire number signs will need to be changed by the end of 2018.
Chairman’s Report: Information was shared on the “Trail of the Northwest Sands”, a historic stagecoach road that runs through the eastern part of Blaine. An $18,000 grant is available through Burnett County – we will not apply at this time.
Road Equipment Update: Road equipment is in good shape.
Road Condition Report: Good conditions – roads are plowed and sanded.
Northland Community Center: A key inventory will be taken.
Waste & Recycle Transfer Station: No report.
- Dan noted that the ATV signage will be done by spring.
- February 20, 2018 is the Spring Primary Election.

Jessica made a motion to adjourn at 6:42 pm. Dan seconded. Motion passed. Meeting is adjourned.
