JOINT TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Tuesday, May 26th, 2026

PRESENT: Chairman Mike Metcalf, Supervisor Josh Fornengo, Clerk Ryan Brennan, Supervisor Ray Sandstrom Jr., Billy Fish, John Sorenson, Brent Pardun, Matt Holter
CALL TO ORDER: Mike Metcalf called the May 26th, 2026 joint town board meeting to order at 7:07 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
TOPIC: Continuing discussion on the feasibility of forming a joint fire association between the towns of Blaine & Dairyland.
SUMMARY: John Sorenson, Association Chief of the Unity Fire Association, was a guest speaker at the meeting and discussed various topics regarding the process of how the Unity Fire Association was formed between 3 towns & 3 villages and the obstacles encountered. He also provided a copy to attendees of their association’s amended and restated bylaws for reference. Both Mike Metcalf & John Sorenson offered Brent Pardun from the Town of Swiss the option of having them speak with their town board members and respective representatives at their next town board meeting on June 9th in support of forming a fire association. The public is reminded that the purpose of this joint town board meeting was simply furthering the exploratory phase of creating a joint fire association—no final decision on whether or not it will be formed has been made as of yet.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Mike Metcalf declared the meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
