MEETING MINUTES

Wednesday, August 10, 2022

 

Chairman, Jessica Estridge called the August 10, 2022 monthly board meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

Present were Supervisor Josh Fornengo, Supervisor Bryan Holter, Clerk Charla Zaccardi, Treasurer Mona Velebir, Dori Willett, Sharon and Ron Proffit, Bob Pardun, Ron Gallagher, Klaus Nieder, Matt Holter and Bill Fish.

Pledge of Allegiance

Clerk’s Report:  Supervisor Bryan Holter motioned to approve the July 13, 2022 meeting minutes, Chairman Jessica Estridge seconded. Motion approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Mona Velebir reported.

Expenses:  Supervisor Josh Fornengo made a motion to approve payment of expenditures as submitted.  Bryan Holter seconded.  Motion approved.

Citizen’s Input: A resident mentioned South Markville Road culvert was low. Cooper Engineering was contacted and it was noted that the culvert should be sufficient. It was suggested that hours of operation of UTV/ATV’s on State Line Road should be posted. Chairman Jessica Estsridge will attend the August 17th Burnett County Development Meeting. Painting of the Northland Community Center is still delayed. Century Link has not responded on internet connection at the NCC.

Chairman’s Report: None.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Road Equipment Update:  Ron Gallagher reported that the truck is back working.

Road Condition Report:  Roads are good. Fall road projects will be reviewed.

Fire Report: Dairyland Fire Chief Bill Fish – The new tanker truck loan is still pending at this time. There is an Open House at the Dairyland Fire Department on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from Noon to 5 pm.

The light is flickering in the kitchen. New lights in the kitchen and bathroom were discussed.

Waste & Recycle Transfer Station: Now open Wednesday, 4-7 PM and Sunday, 11 AM to 3 PM.

NEW BUSINESS

1) Bob Pardun, town tax assessor presented a 5-year contract. Supervisor Josh Fornengo motioned to approve this contract. Supervisor Bryan Holter seconded. Motion approved.

2) A firework permit was approved for Hillside Inn on Saturday, August 20, 2022 with the condition weather permitting. That being the town and/or Fire Chief has the ability to pull the permits if needed due to fire danger.

3) Chairman Jessica Estridge will talk to Bonnie Young and let her know the new hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This will go in effect immediately. Supervisor Josh Fornengo motioned to approve the new hours and close the WARTS on Saturdays. Supervisor Bryan Holter seconded. All in favor, motion was approved.

4) A motion was made to re-run the ad for bids on State Line Road until September 14, 2022, until 5 p.m., with it noted the work is to be completed by October 2023. Supervisor Josh Fornengo motioned to approve. Supervisor Bryan Holter seconded. Motion approved.

Supervisor Josh Fornengo made a motion to adjourn at 8:10 pm. Supervisor Bryan Holter seconded. Motion passed.  Meeting was adjourned.
