TOWN OF BLAINE
MEETING MINUTES

Wednesday, March 9, 2022

 

Supervisor Josh Fornengo called the March 9, 2022 monthly board meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 

Present were Supervisor Josh Fornengo, Supervisor Bryan Holter, Clerk Charla Zaccardi, Treasurer Mona Velebir, Ron Gallagher, Dori Willett, Ron Proffit, Matt Holter and Billy Fish.

Pledge of Allegiance

Clerk’s Report:  Supervisor Josh Fornengo motioned to approve the February 9, 2022 meeting minutes. Supervisor Bryan Holter seconded. Motion approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Mona Velebir reported.

Expenses:  Supervisor Josh Fornengo made a motion to approve payment of expenditures as submitted.  Supervisor Bryan Holter seconded.  Motion approved.

Citizen’s Input: It was noted that motor oil and fluorescent light bulbs were thrown in the dumpster. We do not take these items. A resident asked why there has not been more interaction at the WARTS on Sunday’s to keep these items from being disposed of. Supervisor Bryan Holter brought these items to the attendant’s attention.

Chairman’s Report: None

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Road Equipment Update:  Ron Gallagher reported that he ran over the battery box lid.

Road Condition Report: Ron Gallagher reported that roads are plowed and 5 loads of sand were used.

Fire Report: Dairyland Fire Chief Billy Fish suggested a way of paying for a truck in the future. Raising the levy for the fire department will be addressed at the Annual Meeting.

Northland Community Center:

1) The recent Spring Primary was held and 8 new voters were registered and the new voting machine worked well.

Waste & Recycle Transfer Station: HOURS: 11 AM to 3 PM Sunday’s through March 31, 2022. New Hours in April

NEW BUSINESS:

1) Supervisor Josh Fornengo made a motion to approve the USDA-APHIS-WS beaver damage management program in 2022, from April 11, 2022 through October 28, 2022 in the amount not to exceed $1,400.00 Supervisor Bryan Holter seconded the motion. Motion approved.

ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON THE APRIL AGENDA

Agenda items due Friday before each meeting.

Supervisor Fornengo made a motion to adjourn at 7:30 pm. Supervisor Holter seconded. Motion passed.  Meeting was adjourned.
