TOWN OF BLAINE
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES 

Thursday, September 24, 2020

Chairman Vern Drake called the Special Meeting to order on September 24, 2020 at 7:05 p.m. 

Present were Chairman Vern Drake, Supervisor Josh Fornengo, Supervisor Jessica Estridge, Ron Gallagher, Ashley Bartz and Clerk Charla Zaccardi

NEW BUSINESS

Chairman Drake expressed it is saddening we have to replace our long-time Treasurer, Larry Holter.

1. All interested candidates for Board appointment to the position of Town Treasurer, to fill the remainder of the term, should submit a cover letter and resume to Supervisor Jessica Estridge @ This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Friday, October 2, 2020. Interviews will be conducted on or before Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

2. Chairman Drake reviewed the procedure of changing the Treasurer position from elected to appointed. This should be done during the Annual Electors Meeting in April and then filed to take place starting the year 2023 if passed.

3. It was agreed the town will continue to require two signatures on all checks. Supervisor Jessica Estridge made a motion to remove Dan Ellefson and Larry Holter from the Bremer bank account. Supervisor Josh Fornengo seconded. Motion approved.

Supervisor Jessica Estridge made a motion to adjourn at 7:26 p.m. Supervisor Josh Fornengo seconded. Motion passed.  Meeting was adjourned.
