MEETING MINUTES
Tuesday, July 14, 2020
Chairman Vern Drake called the July 14, 2020 monthly board meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Present were Chairman Vern Drake, Supervisor Jessica Estridge, Supervisor Josh Fornengo, Treasurer Larry Holter, Clerk Charla Zaccardi, Sharon and Ron Proffit, Bonnie Young, Ron and Sandy Gallagher, Gary Proffit, Billy Fish, Klaus Nieder, Dan and Nicole Sear, Mona and John Velebir, Barb Fall, Merle Meyer and Matt Holter.
Clerk’s Report: Supervisor Estridge made a motion to approve the June 9, 2020 meeting minutes. Supervisor Fornengo seconded. Motion approved. Supervisor Estridge reported she is waiting for a follow up with Jim Tolbert, Burnett County Emergency Management Director about the Pre-disaster Mitigation Grant Program.
Treasurer’s Report was provided by Larry Holter.
Expenses: Supervisor Fornengo made a motion to approve payment of June expenditures as submitted. Supervisor Estridge seconded. Motion approved.
Citizen’s Input: Billy Fish, Dairyland Fire Chief, reported there will be no “Open House” at the fire department this year. He will send a letter to all taxpayers regarding fundraising. Supervisor Estridge asked residents for any questions she could bring to the quarterly North Memorial Ambulance meeting this week.
Chairman’s Report: Chairman Drake discussed the General Transportation Aid (GTA) and the road expenditures needed to receive the maximum GTA. Chip sealing will be done to increase our road expenses for this year.
OLD BUSINESS:
Road Equipment Update: Ron Gallagher stated equipment is in good condition.
Road Condition Report: Ron Gallagher reported that pot holes on South Markville Road will be filled and Big Hill Road will be graded. There is a protruding survey marker in the middle of the road that will have to be graded up. There was still a question as to the South Markville bridge accident and if it is claimable.
Northland Community Center: There is a community garage sale as a fundraiser for the Homemakers Club on July 24 and 25, 2020.
Waste & Recycle Transfer Station: None
NEW BUSINESS:

The 2017 ATV Ordinance was reviewed and after input Supervisor Estridge made a motion to approve the ordinance with the revisions about frozen ground only for ATV’s on Big Hill Road and no ATV’s in the summer. Supervisor Fornengo seconded. Motion approved.

Clerk Zaccardi reported that voting machines will be replaced for Burnett County in 2021 and the Town will have to budget for the next 3 years.
Supervisor Estridge made a motion to adjourn at 7:20 PM. Supervisor Fornengo seconded. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned.
