NEW BUSINESS:

  1. The need for a town single axle truck for plowing and sanding roads was discussed. It was mentioned that a single axle truck would be cheaper and easier to handle in certain weather conditions. The board will look into the inventory of the town’s vehicles and compare costs for a long term plan before we replace any. Ron Gallagher mentioned he will be hand patching the asphalt roads this year.

  1. A discussion about scheduling spring crack sealing of asphalt roads took place, due to an inquiry about the town doing price comparisons with the county. It was mentioned that Roy’s Sealcoating has always done this for the Town of Blaine in the past and has done a good job. Supervisor Estridge will contact Mike Hoefs, Burnett County Highway Commissioner, to obtain prices for cost comparison. Ron Proffit complimented the Town of Blaine for sealcoating every year as it helps to preserve the life of our roads.

Supervisor Estridge made a motion to adjourn at 6:40 pm. Supervisor Fornengo seconded. Motion passed.  Meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Charla Zaccardi, Clerk
